Dear Sondigo:
As a new customer, I am excited and pleased with the Sirocco. I have 3 PCs with the Sondigo software installed. All are XP machines. Two of the three work flawlessly with the Sondigo. The Sondigo is connected to my Hi-Fi system.
The PC (my laptop) that I used for the initialization of the Sondigo worked fine for a while. Now, I have the cursed Solid Blue Light phenomenon.
On my laptop, whenever I connect to the Sondigo on the Audio Link page, the light on the Sondigo turns solid blue. The Audio System Status page and the Mixed pages show the little dancing bars. However, the Buffer Status page never shows any output to the Buffer.
I am sure that my wireless network is working fine. I can immediately play music from the other two PCs by simply connnecting to the Sondigo. Those Buffers fill and flow normally, and the music pumps out from my Hi-Fi speakers just fine. All other network functions are right-on.
I have rebooted my laptop, shutdown and restarted Sondigo. (I have not uninstalled and then re-installed the software, though.)
I can dynamically switch between my laptop speakers and the Sondigo without problem, but the output buffer never fills when connected.
I have made sure that all Mute buttons are off, and all sliders are Up. The Mixer Volume know is set to 4 o'clock.
Interestingly, when I check control panel, it shows that I am using the Sondigo as my sound card, even when I have disconnected and have set the Advanced Page to use the default laptop soundcard when dynamically switching. I can enter Control panel and reset the soundcard to the laptop card, and the music stream to my laptop speakers keeps on truckin'.
I have disabled my laptop firewall (Commodo) without benefit, even though it shows the music apps to have complete permission to use the network anyway.
Any clues? The key to me is that the buffer never fills.
Yours,
Rick M.

ccleaner.com
Hi Miko,
Another highly-regarded registry cleaning program is called CCleaner. You can download it for free at www.ccleaner.com. Maybe that will be able to run on your system.
Using DHCP
Hi, Aaron! Yes, it is using DHCP, so I do not need to worry about it, right?
Registry Mechanic still does not run...They replied me with a couple of options to install and I tried them all. Still no luck.
I'm waiting their next support.
Yesterday, I was trying to use Sirocco (with no rebooting after the installation), with my amplifier, while downloading the Karaoke music from the site. When I tried to use with Wirless Microphones, attached to this amplifier, the sounds did not come out any more, although Blue light was flashing and I could listen to the music by Windows Media Player prior to this attempt.
Is this wireless microphone now interferring to Sirocco?
This was the main reason I wanted to have your product, singing Karaoke as described above with no wire attached to my laptop....
To use Sirocco, not only I cannot reboot my laptop, but also cannot use Wirelss microphones???
I start having too much trouble, using this product.
I liked the idea of this product, so I'm very disappointed I'm having too much of frustration.
Hope at lest Registy Mechanic will work and no need to worry about rebooting the laptop....
I assume you run out of the option to solve this problem for me, right?
****After chatting with you*****
Resetting the device did not work, either. The same result.
I just want to post the result.
No reply of the next step from Registry Mechanic yet.
using DHCP?
Hi Miko,
If you are using DHCP on your network to automatically configure IP addresses, you shouldn't have to worry about IP address conflicts. Is your network running static IP addresses (ie. do you have to manually set the address for each device)?
Any luck with Registry Mechanic yet?
IP Address Conflict?
Hi! Thank you for posting the web site for Registry Mechanic. Unfortunatelly, I could not scan the registry by that program yet, because it states core application is missing... I asked them about it, but no reply yet.
In the meantime, I realized the Default IP address of Sirocco is as same as my other device one. Is this something to do with it? But my router assigns the different address to Sirocco by looking its system summary, though.
Anyway, as long as I do not reboot the computer, it works....,so I have to use like that for a while until it is fixed.
I will post the result as soon as I can scan my registy by that program, by the way.
The post from rickstat above
The post from rickstat above indicated that running Registry Mechanic and then running a driver re-installation might do the trick.
You can download a free trial of Registry Mechanic here:

I've used it before and it's very easy to use.
Let us know if that helps.
Not Caused by Security Program
Hi! I entered the exe file to my seucrity program firewall exception list, yet not working. Every time, when I re-install the firmware of Sirocco, it works until I reboot again. I closed each background programs, including the security program, but not working. So, it is something to do with rebooting (the order of the loading the program?). I did clean reboot, yet it is no buffering(solid blue light), unless uninstall it and re-install it each time after the rebooting the computer. If I do not reboot(including hibernating), it keeps working even with all background programs are running. I cannot keep the computer power on to use this, and it is annoying to reinstall it each time, because I want to use it with the home theatre and hard to connect the cable each time. That was the main reason I want to be wireless in the first place, anyway. Please figure out what is going on. I beleive the product works fine. I wonder what kind of registry program to fix the registry the previous person was talking. It may something to do with the registry. Help!
Thank you.
cmflywav.exe
Hi Miko,
The .exe file you will want to allow is called Cmflywav.exe. Try setting the permissions and see if that helps.
One Laptop-same problem
Hi! I just got this today, and as soon as it started failing (Solid Blue light, Buffer Usage 0%), I tried to chat the customer service...In the meantime, I disabled the security program, uninstalled the Sirocco, and reinstalled it. It worked and hang up the chat. Then when I reboot the computer, again have the same problem, even I disabled the security program during it. It only works if I uninstall and reinstall it, until rebooting the computer next time. I tried to add this to the exception list of this security program firewall, but I do not have the exact name of exe file to start Sirocco, thus cannot add it, although I made a short cut from the control panal and add that. It worked for a while, then reboot it. Again! I do not know how many times and how many different ways I tried, and worked for a while, it starts the same problem after rebooting (does not matter Cold or Warm)
I'm frustrating. I will be extremely appreciated for any help to solve this. Thank you very much.
Hi Rick, The buffering takes
Hi Rick,
The buffering takes place on the Sirocco itself. I'm not sure why your problem occurred. It sounds like there was some clash with other software on your machine, which affected your driver installation (as you also suspected).
Oh well, the real solution was to reinstall the driver.
Dear All,
After my post about using Registry Mechanic, the problem recurred. The connection with the Sondigo was present, but the buffer wouldn't fill though the mute buttons, etc. were all working. My two other PCs with the Sirocco drivers installed never sputtered. So I presume the network was not an issue.
I just had to uninstall the Sirocco software, reboot, and re-install the driver software to get it going again. So far, so good with multiple reboots, etc.
I feel it is a software conflict that somehow develops on the local machine.
Do you at Sondigo have any other ideas as to why this happens? Also is the buffer local or in the Sirocco?
Yours, Rick M.
Differences in the PCs?
Are there any obvious differences in the configurations of the 2 PCs?
The Mute button issue is a common problem -- please make sure the button under the Volume knob in the mixer tab is clicked in and 'lit' blue.
Good news
Rick: excellent news, I am glad you could get it working. Don't hesitate to come back to the forums or try our live support if you need any more help.

Problem solved!
I am assuming cause and effect, often a dangerous thing to do. While having some problems installing other software on my laptop, I ran Registry Mechanic. It cleaned up 66 various problems with my registry. That fixed the problem (I assume). Now the little blue light dances a jig and music streams. I have used Registry Mechanic for quite a while and have found it very useful. It resurrected an old Win98 computer to fully functional status, believe it or not. I use it now for backup and general web browsing.
Rick M.
I have been having the EXACT
I have been having the EXACT same problem- only I just have 2 PC's (both laptops). One works fine, the other does everything you described having with your problematic one.
