I'm wanting to setup a system to run music through out my house. I've got everything else under control including the keypads for the different zones and amps & speakers etc. but now just need individual signal sources.
I've got a large collection of MP3's on my server so I was wondering if I connected 6 or so Siroccos to my network could I get each of them to play different music simultaneously ?
I want to have my server and all the Siroccos setup together in a cupboard running 24/7 but have the analog output of the Siroccos wired through out the house to amplified speakers in each of the different zones all controlled via the audio distribution system. I'm then hoping to get one Sirocco to constantly play music I like, another to constantly play music my wife likes, another to constantly play party type music, another to contantly play chill-out type music etc. etc. so you can select from any of the signal sources from any zone ... just like changing channels on a radio ! The room next door can then be playing something different and so can the kitchen and the bathroom and so on.
Is this possible using Siroccos ?

If I may be so bold, I think using several iterations of a physical machine is the wrong path. Please see my post on Virtual Machines.
There are huge benefits to using virtualization technologies and managing Siroccos is just one of them.
It is also much more environmentally responsible & friendly!

you have to allow "concurrent sessions" in Windows Xp and control the different sessions with rdp or a winamp http interface

This is all possible, but you need multiple PCs to make it happen. Each Sirocco connection requires one Sirocco receiver and one PC. You can have multiple connections on the network at the same time, but you can't use one PC to connect to more than one Sirocco at a time.
If you have more than one PC in the home, you could share your server's media library with them, and then they could be used to stream to the other Siroccos.
