Hi there, is there any way I can 'trick' vista into letting me install the driver? Because when I try to run the setup file, I get "Dont support this platform" error.
I know the official drivers for Vista aren't out yet, but I've seen a couple ppl on the forums have it installed so I was hoping there'd be a way.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi, I'm not aware of a way
Hi,
I'm not aware of a way to get the driver to install on Vista x64. Have you tried the Vista beta at the cmedia forums?

oh, haven't thought of that,
oh, haven't thought of that, I'll give it a try now
Edit: ah, no go :( it was installing fine until "This version of windows (Vista 64x) requires all drivers to have a digital signiture" therefore I can't even try to use it >.< any workarounds?
Also on another thread I saw that you guys were waiting on base Vista drivers so you can get started making your own, any ETA on that?
Thx for the quick replies!
That's right, I forgot about
That's right, I forgot about Vista x64's digital signature requirements. You might be able to find a workaround somewhere online, but I'm not aware of one. If you can't find a workaround, you'll need to wait for the official x64 drivers (which we'll release once we get a base driver).
We haven't been able to get any firm dates on when the base driver will be available, but it's been under development for awhile already.
Workaround
I <3 the internet, so I found that if you hit F8 while booting up, it takes u to the menu where u can start in safe mode etc. there's an option there to start up with 'Disable Digital Signature Enforcement' but you're gonna have to do it EVERYTIME you boot up.
With that option i was able to install the beta 8788 beta drivers from the cmedia forums and sound works. But just that everything is playing in stereo but at least I get sound now.
Thx for your help!
How I got my Inferno to work OK under Vista Ultimate x64
I just got my Inferno on Saturday 7/7/07 and installed it under Win-XP using the CDROM that came with it. Then I DL'd the later update from the Sondigo support area and installed that. OK so far. Very shortly thereafter I ran Windows Update and it suggested yet another update directly from Microsoft. Funny thing though, this one was for the AuzenTech card but specified the correct CMI chip, so I thought I would give it a try. It also seemed to work OK.
But this suprise tipped me off to something important.
This evening I tried to install my Inferno under Vista Ultimate x64 and the Sondigo driver wouldn't load; something about Error 39. Probably the wrong "signiture" problem. Correct?
So I remembered that AuzenTech driver that Microsoft gave me earlier. I went to AuzenTech and snooped around and found this one:
060107_VISTA_xmeridian_32-64bit
I installed it and it seems to work just fine. It looks and operates exactly like the Inferno XP version applet. I haven't discovered any problems after about 4 hours, but I am still at the very beginning of working with Vista and the Inferno. Of course, the System Tray applet says "Xear 3D for Auzen X-Meridian 7.1" but other than that, no problems.
Certainly, I can't guarantee the same results for others. But I think this is worth a try, UNTIL Sondigo makes their Vista x64 driver available. All I can tell you is that my Inferno is working just fine running under Vista Ultimate x64 and working in conjunction with my DVIco Fusion HDTV5 Gold TV card. I have already captured to disk some live HDTV on-air programming and can play it back from the file using Win-Media Player with perfect sound.
Good Luck.
