Hi:
Does Sondigo currently have any (beta) Vista drivers? Is the card currently supported in Vista only through the C-Media reference drivers? If so, is there any missing functionality?
Hi,
We recommend that you use the beta C-Media drivers. We're waiting for a full driver release before we make our own driver available. The existing betas are not complete, some of the Dolby/DTS technologies are not available in them.
Anyone know if there any release dates yet for the final vista64 drivers? (Like most here, I am using the beta driver, and while it works, it would be nice to have a real driver that you don't have to jump through hoops in order to make it work :)
Can you please provide the password for this RAR file?
Like others here I am using the 64-bit edition of Vista and with Microsoft's new patches, you need to bypass driver signing every time you boot in order to get the Sondigo drivers to work.
Hi,
I must correct myself. The new VISTA-driver from BGears isn´t as good as I thought. You should better follow the link from Aaron to CMedia. There you find new beta-driver and it works well on my system.
Hi Aaron,
I think, these CMedia drivers are the best for now. But your link points directly to a file and it is not possible to enter the CMedia-page to look, if there is a newer driver. On CMedias-homepage there is no link to any VISTA-driver. Wouldn´t it be better to let us know what beta-driver is actual because of the feedback from many users?

Can you clarify a bit more on what's missing? Passthrough works, correct? Do DDL and DTS encoding work?
I believe passthough works
I believe passthough works fine, but DDL and DTS don't, as far as I remember. These features will be added in the near future, though.

Hi,
Hi,
Try this generic C-Media driver. It is supposed to be signed for 64-bit.

Sorry about that, guys. I changed the link, so it's now pointing to an unprotected zip folder.

I am also running Vista X64 and my Inferno works perfectly.
I would much perfer to use Sondigo drivers. But I have had good luck running the AuzenTech drivers in the interim.
I found out about this from a post on another thread on this forum:

Incidently, I just bought my 2nd Inferno for a new dual quad-core Xeon system I am building. I am hoping it arrives this week.
Good Luck.

I´ve just found good news on http://www.bgears.com and there you can download vista-drivers for b-enspire, the same card like our sondigo. Good luck.

Hi Bernd,
Thanks for the feedback. That C-Media driver is the latest one available, I believe, so it would make sense that it works the best.

Hi Bernd,
My contacts at C-Media tell me that is the latest one. As for how it's presented on their site, unfortunately Sondigo can't influence that.
