I am running Vista Ultimate with the new inferno driver. I cannot seem to find the mixer tab as mentioned on the manual. I am using S/PDIF in and I cannot control the audio coming in via software.
Also, I can't listen to my PC speakers and external amplifer (via S/PDIF) at the same time other than PCM. It it possibel to listen to both in "Dolby Digital Live" and "DTS"? My amplifier doesn't like the PCM input as the audio is only two channels and my sub from the amplifer is not active. I can switch to "Dolby" or "DTS" and the audio cuts out to my PC speakers but sounds fine on my amplifer.

Thanks for the reply. I
Thanks for the reply. I checked control panel and there are no mixer controls there. I can just control my audio in through my PC speaker volume control.
Hi bartad, There is no Mixer
Hi bartad,
There is no Mixer in the Vista driver, because in Vista Microsoft doesn't expose those controls like they did in XP. The Windows audio panels should have this functionality now, and you can access it from Windows->Control Panel->Sound.
As for the SPDIF out, only PCM output mode allows you to listen from the analog outputs at the same time, and it only includes 2 channels of audio. Dolby Digital and DTS can't be played out the speakers because they are encoded digital formats, and they sound absolutely horrid going straight to a DAC (trust me, I've heard them!)
Hope this helps,
Aaron
