I am having issues and have had issues in the past with EAX cards dropping me from my favorite past time.. Everquest. An issue with Hyperthreading being incompatible with EAX came to mind that I spent days searching for online and when I started crashing again recently and learned that my motherboard onboard sound has EAX drivers. Back in the days when 3.2 pentium was the second best processor you could buy I purchased an Audigy Soundblaster and was booted from Everquest everytime it thunderstormed in the game.
Would this card solve my problem? Probably a stupid question to ask but I am desperate to find a solution.

I don't have any specific experience with Everquest, but I can say that the Inferno has solid EAX 1.0 and 2.0 support. It may be EAX 3-5 that is causing you problems, as they are only available on Creative cards (proprietary technology).
I haven't heard of a single user having problems with the EAX support on the Inferno. Perhaps someone else has experience with Everquest and the Inferno?
