I'm just wondering if this is normal... I just bought the Sondigo Inferno and I'm running Vista Ultimate 64bit, I've installed your drivers that only gave me 2.1 through optical, then I installed the C-Media drivers and it finally gave me 5.1 through optical.
What I don't understand is why are these drivers taking up 100% of my CPU Usage. I don't know if it's previous(That didn't uninstall properly) or current drivers, because now I have three regsvr32.ex *32 taking approxmately 450k memory and 40%,33%,25% (on average) CPU usage.
I'm running Vista Ultimate that disabled signed drivers.
Computer Specs
AMD 4200+ AM2
2gb ddr2 6400
ATi X1900 XT
Also, there will be true 64bit drivers in the future, right?

Alright, I'll give it a try.
Alright, I'll give it a try. Thanks
What you're experiencing is
What you're experiencing is definitely not normal. The driver linked to in the other thread is more recent than the one on the C-Media forums, and I believe it's also signed for 64-bit.
I'm using the newer version,
I'm using the newer version, seems to require a lot of Cpu usage. I don't know if your linked one is the newest version from C-media. The one I'm using right now was released in July 20th.
Is what I'm experiencing normal? If not should I just try a complete reinstall?
The C-media drivers unfortunately aren't digitally signed.
Hi, Have you tried the Vista
