No Optical Light out the end of the Callisto Dongle

HI All
I received my Callisto yesterday and installed it as per the instructions. I downloaded the Vista drivers, then installed the dongle and then pluged it into the AMP.

I then started VMC (Vista Media Center) and put a DVD in to test the sound output to my ONKYO 602 AMP, this was magic to my ears, the sound was perfect until 5 min into the DVD and it went silent.

I checked the dongle over, and tried other USB ports, I then check the drivers, try a reinstall and reboot and then i tried to install it on to the laptop. It installed but i noticed that there is no light coming from the end of the dongle where you would put the cable?

My question is is the dongle DOA or has this happened before to anyone? and if it has happened before can it be fixed?

THank

S/PDIF enabled in Callisto Control Panel?

I have exactly the same problem!

... and the fact is I bought 2x Callisto so I can do comparison right away, under the same configuration, and the same experiments and testings. Unfortunately, one of the dongles out-of-the-box has no optical light coming out at the port. I also tried to toggle ON/OFF SPDIF in the control panel, the good dongle will have the red beam ON and OFF according to the SPDIF status. The bad dongle just won't have the red beam at all. :(

Looks like it is inevitable for me to get the dongle RMA for replacement.

Now this would lead to even more headache for me. :( I made this purchase from one of your dealers - cyberguys.com for international shipment to Malaysia and was charged with an hefty shipment fee. And I don't think I deserve to spend further for the heavy shipment fee for returning the bad part for replacement. This is utterly disappointing.
