Lag using sondigo callisto w. HQ 2300D

Hi!

I'm using the sondigo callisto with a dolby/DTS decoder from creative (the HQ 2300D) to get dolby headphone.

The problem is that I get a most annoying lag in sound. This goes for all media - games, movies etc.

What am I doing wrong?

How should I set the callisto to avoid lag? Which setting to use in order to get dolby headphone from the callisto? (DD och PCM)

(If you could speculate since i trust your're not 100% familiar with this setup - Hq2300d and callisto.)

I'm hoping for your help Aaron since if it's not resolved I've to change back to my Icemat Siberia soundcard..

Hi,
I haven't tried the receiver in question, but I've never seen lag from the Callisto (or heard of it, as far as I can remember). Can you try another receiver, to see if the Callisto is the source of the lag?

Just to inform someone with a similar problem...

I tried with another player, Powerdvd 5, instead of VLC. Now SPDIF works (it stuttered like hell in VLC) and lipsync is perfect. I guess the coded VLC uses is not so good...
