My network started dropping after I upgraded to the newest Sirocco firmware and driver. To make a very long story short, I decided to reflash all 4 of my Siroccos to the original FW and reinstall the original driver. Now, with the original FW in place, *none* of the Siroccos can establish a wireless connection with my network. The wireless indicator lights show no signs of life. In all cases, the setup wizard ran to normal completion and I know my network's WEP key was entered correctly. All PCs are running Windows XP.
I know others have reported this or a similar problem and was wondering if anyone had found a way to restore wireless functionality after falling back to an earlier firmware version.
Any assistance would be much appreciated as I'm now completely stumped.

I had the same problem after
I had the same problem after I reverted to the original firmware. The wireles function returned after I powered the Sirocco off and on.
Same deal
I did exactly the same as the original poster and every problem he encountered, I have as well.
Powering off and on again has no effect.
Only difference during setup process now is that I am prompted for a password, where I wasn't previously.
Does this mean that the firmware reflash is not complete?
Stumped as well!

I am having all the same problems... no wireless. I've reinstalled a number of times, turned it on and off... nothing, no wireless :(

I have the same issue - I've gone through the setup utility numerous times, re-flashed with the Vista drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled software, rebooted, you name it.
The setup utility will find it connected via ethernet, and will not flash it with the 'Join Existing Wireless Network' settings - it always acts as an Access Point - and it always shows as an available wireless network. Not sure what the deal is there...
End result - latest firmware/drivers (for Vista), no Wireless light is on. Only LAN comes on when I plug it into my PC and functions normally. Unplug LAN, no Wireless light. I'm about to hardwire it into my network, but would like to have the wireless functionality back as I did back in the XP days.
Sondigo - quite a few posts regarding the same issue here, what is your advice?!
no wireless
I started out with a new Vista computer but had so much trouble with it that I downgraded back to XP. I reinstalled the old firmware and software, but still no wireless.
The kicker to all of this is
The kicker to all of this is that I had it all working with XP, then had it working with Vista - perfectly... then I went to change the wireless settings (from WEP to WPA), then nothing! Very frustrating.

Skittlebrau,
Does the wireless connectivity come back if you switch back to WEP?
no wireless
I left mine using WEP and I still doesn't pickup wireless. Is there anything I can do to get it working again? I hate to just throw it away.
Hi Thomas, Try going back to
Hi Thomas,
Try going back to the newer firmware and driver that you used on Vista. These versions are also compatible with XP, and if you're ok with updating firmware, we recommend that you use them rather than the original versions.
Device not found
Well I can't do anything with it now. I loaded the new software and it can't find the device on the network even when I have the LAN cable attached. It doesn't matter what version I try to run, they both have the same problem.
I just keep it on my self now with all my other former computer accessories.

reverted to old firmware because buffering problems with new one were about to make me mad.
Now, no wireless whatever I do
'super' login only work while using the driver setup, unable to login on web page.
Could you send a note when new vista drivers will be debugged?
(like: no buffer issues). Until then, I am going to look for an airport express...
