I have a laptop with Vista and a Panosonic digital amp that accepts optical and supports Dolby Digital, DTS, and PCM. Can I use this to run iTunes or Windows Media Center from laptop to receiver in digital 2 channel operation? The Panny (SAXR55) has it's own compressed audio re-master feature with the following note:
Multi-source re-master cannon be used when input signal is DTS 96/24, PCM with sampling frequencies of 192,176.4,96,or 88.2kHz

The Callisto is capable of regular 2 channel, 48kHz audio through the SPDIF output. However, some users are reporting a problem in Vista, where this mode is not selectable. We're working with our chip vendor to fix it, and should see a new driver soon.
