Wireless Connection Problem

I'm having trouble getting the device to work on a wireless connection. It works perfectly when directly connected to my router (WRT54GL with DD-WRT). However, the Sondigo control panel cannot find the device on my wireless network - even though I can see it's MAC address on my router's control panel, bring up the device's web page, and ping the IP Address.

I have tried several things to make it work: disabling all network security and firewalls, rebooting my computer, router, and sirocco, and changing the firmware and drivers.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for what to try?

Also, are there any utilities to troubleshoot this issue? For example, I would like to see if the sirocco is booting properly and if all services are up and running.

Thanks!

OK, well I am glad that you

OK, well I am glad that you have a working system now, regardless.

You may want to try the Vista drivers again, if that compatibility is important to you, but if you're more comfortable with the working system you have now, there's no problem with that.

I'm not sure what I did, but it works. Funnily enough, I had given up on wireless and ran an Ethernet cable around my house, drilled holes, installed wall-plates etc. When I was done, I thought, 'let's try connecting on wireless one last time' and I did and it worked.

All my router settings are the same but I have reverted back to the original XP firmware and drivers. I had tried this setup originally, and it didn't work (for whatever reason) so I spent most of my time messing with the Vista drivers.

I'm guessing my problem was with the Vista drivers (they are still in beta after all). I'm disappointed because I intended to use the Sirocco with my Vista laptop (as opposed to my XP Desktop), but I'll wait for the next driver release and try again.

Thanks!

Hi Idaho, Which firmware and

Hi Idaho,

Which firmware and drivers have you tried, and which are you running currently? Which OS do you have on the PC.

Also, could you list some of the basic settings on the router? If you can, I'd recommend setting the router for a very plain/vanilla configuration and see if that helps.
