Hello,
I have a love/hate relationship with my Callisto, had it working mostly under XP but moved to Vista using latest beta drivers.
I get no output from DDL
I get DTS output ok (actually shows DTS on my Receiver even when playing Dolby Digital Movies.)
I get PCM output ok
Another thing is I have to set device in Vista to Speakers not Digital to get any output at all. Is this normal?

Hi Cliff, When you get the
Hi Cliff,
When you get the DTS signal on the receiver for a Dolby Digital movie, what is Callisto's digital output setting? It's possible that your software DVD player is decoding the DD audio, and then the Callisto is re-encoding it to DTS.
Also, have you tried the newer beta driver at www.sondigo.com/drivers?
Needing to set the device to Speakers in Vista is normal- the way Vista implements separate "devices" for one piece of equipment is not exactly a standard process.
Hi Aaron, Sorry I took so
Hi Aaron,
Sorry I took so long to reply but waiting on my home internet changeover to naked ADSL.
I only get output on the DTS & PCM settings in the Callisto setting no audio at all in DDL regardless of program or content.(Tried VLC also)
I believe I have the other settings in Media Player set to SPDIF correctly I am using AC3filter do I need it ?
Also ffdshow is installed for other codecs for Vista Media Center.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Callisto driver and Ac3filter and ffdshow but when reinstalled still the same.
Any settings in these I should make note of.
I am sure I went through similar problems on XP ? But eventually it all worked ok.

Hi Cliff, You might want to
Hi Cliff,
You might want to try going into Vista's "Sound" Control Panel. In there you'll see two separate "devices" for the Callisto, an analog "speakers" one, and a digital output one. Try using the option that you're not using now.
It seems that this setting seems to interfere with how the Callisto driver processes encoded audio streams. Anyways, try both settings and let me know if that helps.
