After some wrestling with this device I was finally able to get the wireless light to come on, and to get the software to find the device as wireless, i.e. without being cabled to the PC.
However, once this happens, the wireless connection on the PC pops a message to the effect that "limited or no connection to the network" and less than a minute later, the machine locks up.
Originally flashed the Vista firmware, couldn't get that to work, so uninstalled everything and flashed the original firmware and installed from the CD. Also disabled the PC's wireless network adapter while installing, and used the web setup to change the IP address to something my network can find.
Possible that there are other settings that need to be changed? I'm suprised there is no "help" to click on in the web setup for the device to explain it all.
...so close yet so far from getting this to work...any help appreciated!
