I'm a new user who just installed my Callisto today. Definitely an improvement over my stock sound card using RCA cables, however I'm not getting any bass from any of my applications.
When I run the sound tests from the Callisto control panel the subwoofer will fire, however none of my applications seem to produce anything from the subwoofer.
Soundcard: AC97 onboard sound.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Are you using a
Hi,
Are you using a traditional 2.1 speaker system, that hooks up to the Callisto with a single stereo 3.5" jack? If so, the bass signal fed to the sub is determined by the crossover in the speaker system itself. You might need to adjust the "bass volume" on your speaker set.
Another possibility is that there may be an EQ setting selected in the Callisto control panel that is rolling off your lower frequencies.
I'm going from the Callisto
I'm going from the Callisto to a Sony 7.1 receiver using an optical output. I disabled the AC97 onboard sound as I didn't have anything hooked up to it. I am far from an audiophile, but know that using the same input from my xbox 360 the sound through those speakers and receiver are incredible, including mp3 which leads me to believe this issue is with the output.
My primary concern is winamp. I can't seem to get anything to come out of the sub EXCEPT the sound tests so I know the signal can get to the sub. What EQ settings would you suggest I look at?
Btw, thanks for the quick response.
I see, I had misinterpreted
I see, I had misinterpreted your post and thought you were using RCA cables (analog) from the Callisto. Try different output modes (PCM/Dolby Digital/DTS), and see if you get bass to the sub from any of them. If you're using DD/DTS, you will probably have to set your receiver to send low frequencies from the other channels to the sub. For stereo mp3s, there won't be any audio being sent directly to the sub's channel (only front left and front right).
