i installed a brand new Sirocco using the new firmware 1.0.0 for vista and the 2.1.0 software.
everything works and music is playing.
i changed the user name and password. now i can't log in.

i held the reset button down for 30 seconds expecting the configuration to reset, but this is not what happened. i still can't log in.
i tried to reapply the firmware, but the use name and password are required.
it works except for not being able to log in.
does anyone have any experience with this?

I see, I thought you had only tried the web interface to make settings changes.
To reset the device:
1) Ensure the Sirocco is plugged into a power source with the AC adapter.
2) With a pen or paper clip, hold down the recessed Reset button for about ten seconds. The Reset LED should begin to flash; at that point you can release the button.
i'm stuck
the setup wizard is inaccessible due to the fact that no username and password combination work.
my most vexing problem is that i can't get it to reset.
then the username/password wouldn't be an issue.
would you please describe the exact procedure for resetting the sirocco?

No, it doesn't matter which browser you use to log in. However, I'd recommend that you use the Sirocco Setup Wizard rather than the web interface to change settings and update firmware. If the login dialog does come up there, the super/blank credentials should work.
