I have read through as many topics on this as I can find, but havnt managed to find a solution.
Ive only had my Sirocco for a week or so and installed it on XP without any problems, worked a treat my buffering does go down slowly but never looses any sound and isnt a problem.
I then installed vista on my system and got everything up and running, but unfortunaly the Sirocco used to keep dropping out whenever I asked anything of the PC, but even simple tasks like using intenret explorer would cause the sirocco to loose sound and basically it was just annoying and unusable.
I have sinse installed XP again and it works a treat, I would ideally like to get it working with Vista but need to find the root cause first.
I updated the firmware, was running the latest software and have the latest firmware for my router.
I have the unit connected to my router via the LAN and then connect to it wirelessly from there which works well, If I unplug the LAN and connect to the unit directly it makes me drop my connection with my other wireless devices every couple of minutes, but I dont mind having it connected to my router via LAN as my speakers are next to my router.
Any help to try and make music playing via the sirocco on vista bareable would be much apprechaited.
Thanks Robb

A few questions and
A few questions and suggestions:
- Were both Vista and XP installed on the same PC? If so, that eliminates hardware differences from the discussion
- What buffer size are you using on the Sirocco? If you haven't already, try increasing it and see if that eases the dropouts.
- Try disabling UAC in Vista and see if that helps the streaming. Some people have found that it can have a significant effect on performance. Do a google search for "disable UAC vista", and it will turn up a few tutorials.
