My Sirocco works fine most of the time, however normally when I first connect to it, the buffer quickly drops to around 30%. If I reconnect it stays right up at 100%. What is it that causes it to drop so low? I have no other network traffic.
Also when I click the tray icon to open up the control panel, it sometimes doesn't show (on Vista sp1).

Same problem in XP
I've had the same problem for over a year...the buffer drops down or doesn't fill at all. I reconnect which usually restores to 100%.
Now however it's completely inaccessible. Not directly using ethernet..."device not found".
Tried everything. Reset, nothing. Can't connect it directly via ethernet. Only manage to see it when I hook it into the router. It prompts me for user and pass, but "super" doesn't work. Any other possibilities ? If I can't connect to it now
I'm going to ditch the whole setup because it's been way too flakey for too long. I need set and forget.
Why no new drivers and fixes?
That's odd; there could be
That's odd; there could be some software interfering with the software starting up. If you're using UAC in vista, you could try disabling that and see if it improves the performance.
For the tray icon, try right-clicking, and it should always give you the option to open the control panel.
