No audio device found

When I scan for audio devices, no device is found. I had this problem previously and had pretty much given up on getting it fixed, but I decided to try again, since recently upgrading my network. The wireless light is on on the Sirocco, but when I scan for available devices, it shows nothing is available. I have run the setup wizard several times and every time I seem to be successfully connected to my home network. I have the latest driver and firmware for Vista installed. Please advise what I might be missing here. Thank you.

Problem just getting stranger

Now audio bridge is just intermittently disappearing from network on both XP and Vista computers. I can resolve the problem by reconfiguring the device using the XP computer as the other user recommended and then it returns on both machines, but it's just very odd. It seems to happen randomly for no reason. For example, right in the middle of my listening to music, device just suddenly vanished. If anyone has ever heard of this or has any suggestions as to the root cause, I'd appreciate it.

I spoke too soon---doesn't work again

Audio device has once again disappeared from Vista machine. Worked for all of 4 days. Now getting same error message---no device found. Still visible on XP machine, but this doesn't help me much, as that's an old laptop I rarely use. Would appreciate a definitive fix for this problem if anyone has one! Thanks so much!

Yes, configuring with XP worked!

Thank you SO much for this tip! I did as you suggested and configured using a different computer with XP. It's now visible from Vista machine as well and seems to be working fine. I hope this helps others also. Thanks again!

If you can, configure the Sirocco with XP

I had the same problem and eventually got the Sirocco visible on my Vista machine wirelessly. I actually have an XP machine as well, so when I gave up on Vista configuration, I installed and configured the device on my XP machine without a problem. Then I reinstalled the driver on Vista, but DID NOT complete the Sirocco configuration. I exited the setup at that point because the device was already configured the way I wanted it. When I launched the control panel on Vista after that, the device was found and worked well.

I know this might not help you much if you don't have an XP machine around. If you do and this works for you, please post a reply here. I think Sondigo might find this info useful when they try to figure out what's wrong with the Sirocco configuration process on Vista.
