WARNING (windows 7)

so the windows 7 beta is out and i had read that vista drivers work fine with it so i go ahead and install it, install the inferno vista drivers and.. well the result is it reformatted my drive, leaving it without a partition (it was unrecoverable). i lost a ton of files i didnt have backed up. i tried it again after the i lost everything on that drive and a similar thing happened, all the files were gone altho this time it still had a partition.

what happens is the second you click on the xear3d tray icon the hard drive starts to grind. i suppose thats it destroying all of the files.

so sondigo guys, you gonna release any windows 7 drivers for this card any time soon? ever?

The same thing happens to me

The same thing happens to me except my hard drive didn't blow up (:-p). Lucky me. heh

With that said, I understand you guys have no real obligation to release Win7 drivers until Win7 goes retail, but once it does, I would love to see some Win7 drivers that have a working control panel. :)

Not that I know of,

Not that I know of, unfortunately.

thanks for a response. the

thanks for a response.
the driver itself seems to be working. its just the control panel app thats not. so pcm is working. is there any way to force it into dts or dd encoding without the control panel app that you know of? thanks.

If we do release a Windows 7

If we do release a Windows 7 driver, it won't be until closer to the official release of the OS. Until then, we can't endorse using the Inferno with Windows 7.
