Hello,
I have been testing Windows 7 for quite a while now (as being employed for a MS partner we are testing windows 7 for half a year now). In all test builds, including the current beta, I have not been able to get the sirocco working. The installation of the driver can be accomplished, but it does not start (cmflywav.exe is not in the taskmanager process list) and the control panel can not be opened. Has anyone els yet have some experience with W7 and sirocco?
As MS claims all Vista compatible devices will work in W7, I sent some feedback and hope to hear from them soon. To be continued.

Return it, no driver is coming, we have been asking for months with no response here. This company is defunct. We all need to find and alternative.
Windows 7 64
I just purchased a Sirocco expecting it to at least have Vista drivers which would load under win7. This is the perfect piece of hardware for my needs I just need to run it on my HP touchsmart running W7/64 any ETA? I don't want to return this unit.
Thanks
I need a driver :-(
Just thought I'd add a reply to this in case it helps get a driver quicker...
I have a copy of Windows7 at home. I don't want to install it because it will break my audio setup. I'm willing to wait maybe a week or so before I start looking for something to replace the Sirocco, but I'd much rather stick with the setup I have. All I need is a driver...
vista compatibility mode
vista compatibility mode doesn't work..
only way for now is a virtualisation software like vmware
funny
funny nobody has mentioned it yet: try to install the software using vista compatibility mode.
right click on the setup.exe and go to the compatibility tab... i was able to install it but since i don't own a sirocco yet (considering but i am on win 7) i couldn't test functionality.
Please someone with a device let me know if it works.

no problems, only solutions ;-)
It is probably BlueTooth
and can disrupt your home network or other electronics running at that frequency. I tried a device like this and it interfered with my wireless network, so I went with a network compatible device.
Moving on...
The Audioengine W1 is working flawlessly with Windows 7 RC.

The downside is that it's a USB dongle...though very small.
The upsides are that it works. It requires NO software installations or upgrades and that there was ZERO configuration. Sender was discovered by the USB port. Connected the receiver to my stereo. They paired instantly and just worked...right off the bat. Unplug the dongle from the laptop and sound reverts right back to the speakers.
