How do you disable the wireless functionality? I have a LAN at home and if I don't hardwire the connection, our neighbors connect through the wireless access point and leech my internet connection.

I don't know if it is possible to turn off the wireless features of the Sirocco, However here are several ways to secure your wireless network:
- The best way is to use WPA/WPA2 - or even WEP encryption . Yes, they are hackable, but all take a substantial amount of work and knowledge to access your network.
- Another alternative is to use MAC address filtering on your firewall, this can be done in addition to WPA/WEP encryption on many routers. This allows you to stipulate a list of MAC addresses that have permission to access your network. Any unauthorized MABC addresses won't work.
- Turn OFF the wireless SSID of your network at the router/WAP. This will stop broadcasting the name/existence of your network to your neighbors. They can't hack what they can't identify as a network. You can configure access to your wireless devices by stipulating the gateway IP.
- Finally, a real clugy solution to your Sondigo is simply unscrew the antenna on your Sirocco. Neighbors will still be able to hack access via the Sirocco, but they will have to be transmitting from inches away from your device.

Not sure why you can't connect, even if your ip mask is different. Did you try connecting the Sirocco straight to your pc instead of through your router? Also, IIRC the default username is "Super" or was it "super" with a blank pwd.

Doesn't seem to work. My IP scheme is 192.168.55.x and no matter what, with DHCP or assigning the bridge an IP, I can't access the device after it completes the setup wizard.
No matter what I do, even configuring as an access point with WPA security, etc., it still shows as an unsecure connection and anyone can connect and still leech.

Hope this is helpful.

In you web browser type
In you web browser type 192.168.1.254 to access Sondig's WAP.
Then click on the Password link on the left and enter a username and your pwd.
That should keep the leeches out.
