I am posting this for the edification of people who see the same symptoms with their Sirocco.
The buffer usage display showed a square wave pattern. A few times per day, the signal would drop every 5 or so seconds and go right back to 100% in a square wave pattern. This could go on for a few minutes at a time. There was also a sawtooth pattern, the buffer would slowly degrade, go to zero, and shoot back to 100%. This got worse and worse over a period of several months. I tried to see if there were network or CPU conflicts, like an update from McCafee, but usually Sondigo was the only application on a dual core desktop.
It got to the point of so much frustration, that I started listening to the radio or CD's, which I rarely do. I was ready to pitch the Sirocco.
Then the old D-Link router completely failed, dropping all internet connection after a minute. I got a new cheap Dynex router (a nice piece of equipment btw), and now the buffer runs at 100% all the time.
Buffer Usage Goes to Zero - Square wave and sawtooth pattern

Solution with D-link router
I just received my sirocco and had a sawtooth wave issue as well except mine was draining the buffer every couple of seconds. Even the 1s music setting wasn't enough buffer time. I had to push the buffer to 2s to make it play consistently.
Just figured out that what was causing the sawtooth was the "auto channel scan" mode on my (Dlink) router. I disabled it under wireless properties and the sawtooth went away.
Still have what seems like a cyclical interruption (every 20-30 seconds) that makes 100ms and 200ms latency settings unusable but now the 1s is flawless so far. Would like to identify this other interruption so I can watch videos on this thing.
