Repeating error with cmflywav.exe...needing to shut down

All of a sudden I have a repeated problem with Sirocco locking up when I connect or later when I try to stream music. I get a Windows error message that cmflywav.exe has encountered a problem and must shutdown.

I have to reboot the computer to get Sirocco to see the wireless bridge again, but the problem repeats.

Any reasons for this?

Repeating error with cmflywav.exe...needing to shut down

I have this issue as well and wondering what to try next (brand new unit). I'm running the sondigo through a wired connection (wireless disabled through the web interface) to a Linksys router WRT54G, which is connected wirelessly to my laptop (eeepc) . I can play about 2 minutes of music and the cmflywav.exe process will crash (not doing anything else). Disabling antivirus doesn't help. Can restart by executing cmflywav.exe from c:\program files\sondigo... have tried the manual remove of c-media from control panel and reinstall with laptop connected directly to unit.

Driver uninstall

There may be a need to manually uninstall the driver, by going into the System control panel and the device manager. Under "Sound Video and Game Controllers" you will see a "C-Media Wi-Sonic Wireless Audio Device" -- right click it and select uninstall. Then, re-install the software with the PC connected to the Sirocco (and only the Sirocco -- no routers, hubs or other gear should be inline) by an ethernet cable.

cmflywav application problem

Hopefully it was just a corrupted driver. I eventually uninstalled the driver then reinstalled. It once again seems to be OK.
(BTW reinstalling over the isntallation did NOT work.)
